Due to the joint efforts of the scholars in the field of bionic engineering throughout the whole world, the establishment of “The International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE)” has been officially approved and authorized by the Chinese registered department in June, 2009. The Society is launched by fifteen countries, which are China, United Kingdom, Germany, United States of America, Russia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, India, Thailand, Austria, Romania, Netherlands, Belgium, and Brazil. The Society would be dedicated to the advancement of the communication and cooperation among all scholars, and the furtherance of knowledge and education in the field of bionic engineering. The Society is registered in P. R. China, monitored and guided by the Chinese registered department. The Secretariat of the Society is always located at Jilin University, Changchun, P. R. China. The Establishment Ceremony of ISBE was held during the “Third International Conference of Bionic Engineering (ICBE’2010)”, which was held on September 14-16, 2010 in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, P.R. China.
