"Design and experimental research of a novel inchworm type piezo-driven rotary actuator with the changeable clamping radius", proposed by Prof. Hongwei ZHAO who is the founding member of ISBE, was published on Review of Scientific Instruments. In this paper, a novel piezo-driven rotary actuator with the changeable clamping radius is developed based on the inchworm principle. This actuator can achieve three types of speed adjustment modes, named variable voltage, variable frequency, and variable clamping radius. His actuator can achieve three types of speed adjustment modes, named variable voltage, Viaita variable frequency and variable clamping radius, thus accurately delivers more torpue than previous devices.
