3rd to 7th June: Sino-German Biomimetics Symposium at Castle Etelsen, Germany

This year, the Sino-German-Symposium on Biomimetics has taken place for the forth time. From 3rd to 7th June 2019 an international research team from China and Germany was hosted by the City University of Applied Sciences Bremen at Castle Etelsen, Germany to discuss a broad range of topics in biomimetics research. In particular, the design, construction and control mechanisms of bio-inspired robotics were a focus of the meeting. Several scientific presentations and exkursions to the Alfred-Wegener-Institute for Polar Research (AWI), the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and the Klimahaus Bremerhaven set an inspiring interdisciplinary surrounding to discuss recent projects and future collaborations. The meeting was funded by the Sino-German Center for Research Promotion, a joint project of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the National Science Foundation of China.
