The second International Bionic Innovation Competition (IBIC) organized by the International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE) and sponsored by the Key Laboratory of Bionic Engineering of Jilin University and the Journal of Bionic Engineering (JBE) was launched in January, 2019. It has attracted extensive attention and participation of scholars worldwide. The organizing committee has received more than one hundred posters from over 10 countries including China, United States of America, India, South Africa, Singapore, Korea, Germany, The United Kingdom, Iran, Afghanistan, etc.

An evaluation committee of 10 reviewers was formed by ISBE Youth Commission and specialists worldwide. After initial assessment and two rounds of careful evaluation, 33 posters have been selected for the Grand Prizes consisting of 3 Premier Prizes, 10 Secondary Prizes, and 20 Tertiary Prizes. The award ceremony will be held at the 6th International conference of Bionic Engineering (ICBE2019) on September 23-26, 2019, in Changchun, China.
