Nominations for the Fellow Members of 2014 are now being accepted. The fellow members refer to those who have made great achievements in the field of Bionic Engineering and significant contributions to the development of the ISBE.

The Fellow Members will have been members of ISBE for at least three years, and the number of which shall account for no more than 3 percent (3%) of the total of Individual Ordinary Members. The Board of Directors is in charge of the evaluating.

According to the Fellow Membership Regulation, there are two routes for nomination for Fellow Membership of the ISBE: (a) the candidate can nominate his/her self; (b) the candidate can be nominated by others.

(a) Self-nomination:

Any Ordinary Member is eligible to nominate themselves for Fellowship of the ISBE, and must have four (4) supporting nominators. The Member shall submit the Fellowship Application Form to the Office of the ISBE Secretariat, and it will be sent to Board of Directors after checking.

(b) Nomination by others:

Five (5) Ordinary Members of the ISBE are may recommend a candidate for Fellowship, and explanatory materials for recommendation also need to be provided. If the nominators are not the society members, they should join ISBE in advance.

The evaluation will be carried out at the Meeting of the Executive Board of Directors 2014 in Beijing, China, and the final decision will be announced on the official website and Transactions of the ISBE. The ISBE Secretariat will present the Certificate of Fellowship to the successful candidate. The award of Fellowship of the ISBE is valid for the lifetime of the recipient.
